Air Leakage Resource Centre home page [logo]

This site provides general information on Building Air Leakage, and offers a Resource Centre for anyone seeking information about what Air Leakage is, its causes and impacts, and what can be done to reduce it.

It is operated by Building Sciences Limited, specialist Building Envelope Consultants with over 20 years experience in the fields of design, construction and testing of low air leakage buildings.

Although Building Air Leakage is a relatively new performance issue, it is becoming increasingly important for many within the construction industry.

The stipulation of maximum permissible leakage rates for buildings within Part L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) of the Building Regulations 2006 and the publication of the ATTMA’s TS1, which supersedes the TM23 standard has moved leakage into mainstream construction.
